United Airlines, Continental Airlines & All Nippon Airways Tie Up

Three airlines viz. United Airlines, Continental Airlines and All Nippon Airways are soon going to sign a three way tie-up, which will enable them to co-ordinate schedule and fares between North America and Japan. Recently, while talking to the media, all members of Star Alliance said that all necessary arrangements are done and work is going on schedule and fares. The move comes as Japan government has said that it will not guarantee funding for debt-ridden national carrier Japan Airlines (JAL). Japan Airlines (JAL) is currently being courted by its oneworld partner American Airlines, as well as Delta Airlines, a SkyTeam member, to seek a similar tie-up. This joint venture will significantly enhance the abilities to serve customers better. The network of service to nine Japanese cities will be enhanced by giving customers more options for using flights in conjunction with United and ANA for trips both within the region as well as on trans-Pacific routes
